We begin with an initial design talk to discuss your ideas, inspiration, fabrics and details. It’s possible to personalise any of the gowns from my collections, or to have a completely new gown brought to life. I’ll create hand drawn sketches at this meeting, so that we can visualise different ideas, and I’ll also take your measurements.

A toile is a mock up / prototype of your dress. A few weeks after our design talk, a dress toile will be made up and fitted to your body. At this stage we will check how the style looks and feels and adjustments can be made.

At the first fitting your gown will have been cut and made up in the real fabric and you’ll have a good idea of how the end result will look and feel. At this early stage, further adjustments to the fit can be made.

Further fittings will be required after this and the number will completely depend on the complexity of the design. Most gowns require between three to six fittings. It’s best to have the final fitting approx 2 - 3 weeks before your wedding / event.

At the final stage you will come to collect your dress. Any final adjustments will have been made, and all details and embellishments added. I hope you will enjoy your unique dress for many years to come!
