We begin with an initial design talk to discuss your ideas, inspiration, fabrics and details. It’s possible to personalise any of the gowns from my collections, or to have a completely new gown brought to life. I’ll take your measurements, and create hand drawn sketches, so that we can visualise different ideas.

A toile is a mock up / prototype of your dress, based on your measurements. After we have chosen your dress design, I’ll make a toile and fit this to your body. At this stage we will check how the style looks and feels and adjustments to the shape can be made.

At the next fitting, your gown will have been cut and made up in the real fabric. At this fitting you’ll get a good sense of how the end result will look and feel. Further adjustments can be made at this stage.

Further fittings are usually required after this stage to ensure that the fit and overall look are perfect. The number will completely depend on the complexity of the design. Most gowns require between three to six fittings. It’s best to have the final fitting approx 2 - 3 weeks before your wedding / event.
